In May of 2010, Dr. Vasilas graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and began her veterinary career in Temecula and then Oceanside, CA. She became the proud owner of Fire Mountain Veterinary Hospital in 2016. Veterinary Assistant

Meet Kayley, one of our veterinary assistants. Kayley joined the veterinary field two years ago and is thrilled to be immersed in a career that harnesses her love for animals. For as long as Kayley can remember, she has been drawn to all animals - domestic, farm, and even wildlife. For Kayley, the typical cartoons of childhood were replaced with National Geographic and Animal Planet! As a teenager Kayley spent time working with horses, through which she learned the critical role that both energy and emotions play in animal handling. Kayley saw the positive impact that calm, compassionate handling can have when working with fearful animals, and she applies that knowledge to her work here at Fire Mountain Vet. Kayley is dedicated to soothing fearful patients and loves seeing the joy clients feel when they know their pet is in loving hands. When Kayley isn’t loving on FMVH patients, you can find her loving on her own three dogs - Kato, Athena and Rubi!
